Farming is the backbone of our society, deeply intertwined with the well-being of our communities. At Darko Orphans, we believe that empowering farmers is key to ensuring food security and fostering sustainable livelihoods. Through our training programs, we equip farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to embrace sustainable farming practices, in line with the global food security strategy.
Community Empowerment in Sustainable Farming:
Over the years, we have successfully trained over 300 smallholder farmers across Kathonzweni and Makindu sub-counties, focusing on techniques such as Farming God’s Way. This approach not only promotes sustainability but also respects the natural ecosystem while maximizing productivity. Farmers who have adopted these methods have reported increased yields, improved soil health, and greater resilience in the face of climate change.
At Darko Orphans, our mission is to build strong, self-sufficient farming communities. We are committed to growing alongside our farmers, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive in an ever-changing agricultural landscape.
